ETHERWEAR
ETHERWEAR
The Etherwear collection by Soft Signal represents a minimalist streetwear drop that merges futuristic energy with clean, elevated design. Comprising a cropped t-shirt and a hoodie, the collection is built on sleek silhouettes and high-quality fabrics, designed for modern wearers who value understated style with conceptual edge. Featuring a sharp, angular logo and the name “ETHERWEAR” in a sleek, custom-styled typeface, the garments strike a balance between comfort, urban utility, and visual impact — a wearable identity for those moving through digital and physical spaces alike.

Concept
Concept
The concept behind Etherwear emerged from the idea of clothing as a signal of identity in virtual and real worlds — clean, sharp, and non-verbal. I was inspired by sci-fi media, cyberpunk interfaces, and stripped-back techwear silhouettes. The name “Etherwear” speaks to the intangible nature of connection — something felt, transmitted, and worn. That idea informed every aspect of the design, from the angular logo symbolizing direction and speed, to the minimalist layouts that reflect clarity amid digital noise. The final result is a collection that feels modern, intentional, and subtly expressive.

Research
Research
The development of Etherwear was grounded in research around futuristic fashion trends, techwear aesthetics, and minimalist branding. I analyzed how emerging streetwear brands use simplicity and typographic experimentation to convey edge and intention without excess. This included studying how color, space, and symmetry are applied in both fashion and user interface design. I also looked at the evolution of performance streetwear and how branding systems integrate across garments, digital assets, and packaging. These insights informed the creation of a unified identity for Etherwear — one that is clean, bold, and conceptually current.

Design
Design
The design process began by exploring fashion-meets-futurism aesthetics — drawing on sci-fi typography, angular geometry, and brand systems inspired by digital culture. I prototyped multiple variations of the logo, testing how well it could stand alone, scale on fabric, and work within layout grids for labels and tags. The color palette was selected for versatility in streetwear contexts — with soft metallic gradients tested on both light and dark fabrics for contrast and style flexibility. Every detail — from label design to garment placement — was treated with a minimalist philosophy, ensuring a cohesive visual experience from product to packaging.
